THIS IS THE TURKEY TROT PAGETHIS YEAR'S TURKEY TROT FUNDRAISER WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, October 21st at 9:30am
Turkey Trot is Crosswind PTA's primary fundraiser held each year. Its goal is to raise funds to help our school purchase the educational equipment, computer software, programs and other materials for our classrooms and students. Students obtain pledges from friends/family for a flat donation. Each grade level has a specific, time where students are given 30 minutes to walk or "trot" around an 1/8 mile track (designed on the bus loop) as many times as possible. It is a fun and festive day with great music, family, friends and loads of other activities.
During Turkey Trot we do rely on our wonderful classroom parents to help "run" this event. Below is a list of positions which must be filled by each class to ensure that our children have a wonderfully safe and fun trot. Also listed below are some well deserved essentials for our little trotters. Please click on the word "edit" ( upper right hand corner) to add your name to where you could help. Don't forget to click "save" before you leave the page. Thanks so much! This year we will begin getting the kids ready at 9am, our trot time is 9:30am, and then we will escort the kids back to class at 10:15am.
The children need to wear their class t-shirt on trot day and it is very helpful if all our class parent volunteers can also wear turquoise!
